It’s time to celebrate stories in a big way! Families with young children are invited to jump into a joyful early literacy celebration filled with books, characters, activities, and community connections—all designed to spark excitement and build big reading confidence.
📖 Get your child signed up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library through Bullitt County Public Schools and explore BCPL’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program—two powerful ways to support early reading success from the very beginning.
🎁 Kids can enjoy fun giveaways, themed activity stations, and playful photo ops, plus sweet treats and refreshments to keep the party going.
📚✨ The highlight of the bash? Live storytimes with special guests!
Beloved princesses Anna and Elsa will bring the magic, while superheroes Spider-Man and Captain America swoop in to share stories and inspire little readers. Stick around for meet-and-greets and photos with these larger-than-life reading heroes.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book-gifting program that mails a free, high-quality book every month to children from birth to age five—no strings attached. It’s a simple, powerful way to build early literacy skills and a lifelong love of reading.
ABOUT BCPL's 1,000 BOOKS BEFORE KINDERGARTEN
Bullitt County Public Library’s 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program encourages families to read together—early and often! For every 100 books read, your child earns a prize on the way to reaching 1,000 books before starting school. Reading aloud builds language skills, curiosity, and special moments that matter.
Ages 0–5. Just drop in!
Seating and activities will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This special community event is presented in partnership with Bullitt County Public Schools.
