Lich Gate Concerts cordially invites you to enjoy a serene afternoon of chamber music within the historic and sunlit sanctuary of the Old Parish Church in Sheffield. Whether you are a seasoned classical music enthusiast or new to the genre, this concert offers a memorable and enriching experience.

Artistic Director, Jorge Ávila, also a resident of Sheffield, has curated an exceptional program that highlights works for Piano Trio—Piano, Violin, and Cello—from the Baroque and Classical periods. The program also features pieces for Mezzo-soprano, representing diverse cultures and historical eras.

The Program:

George Frideric Handel – Sonata in D major, Op. 1, No. 13 for Piano, Violin, & Cello

Vocal music by Handel, Bach, Hahn, Poulenc, and Gordon

Ludwig van Beethoven - Piano Trio No. 7 in B-flat major, Op. 97, “Archduke Trio”

Our New York-based artists include Jorge Ávila, Violin; Sarah Hewitt-Roth, Cello; Adrienne Kim, Piano, and Guest Artist Helen Karloski, Mezzo-soprano.
