Mike Ford
London-based Mike Forde is a percussionist who has performed in many parts of the world with a variety of different bands including Addictive TV, Touch the Earth, Latin Dub and the 35-piece Melodians Steel Orchestra UK.
Addictive TV recorded Mike for their Drum & Docks commission for the Royal Docks (please watch the short video here:
?si=eMU8xbPksI4hH8mU ). They also recorded him for their Orchestra of Samples playing a wide range of percussion, from congas and bongos to lesser-known instruments like ocean drums, vibratones, claves, shekere and cabasa.
Mike’s work as a percussionist with Melodians Steel Orchestra UK has taken him around the world, from Azerbaijan to Zambia. In the UK he has performed with them at Blenheim Palace, the Royal Albert Hall and Buckingham Palace. He has also performed several times at Westminster Abbey, including at the Commonwealth Day service (
