🌿 About Amsterdam Dunes:
Amsterdam Dunes features open dunes, wetlands, and sweeping Lake Michigan views, making it feel wild and wide open, especially in winter. Expect grasses poking through snow, rolling terrain, and steady lake breezes that keep things invigorating. This is a great spot for a scenic, moderate-paced group hike with plenty of room to roam.
🥾 Winter Trail Notes:
• Expect cold temperatures and strong winds
• Trails may be snow-covered, icy, uneven, or drifted
• Insulated boots with solid traction are strongly recommended
• This will be a relaxed, steady-paced group hike, no racing, no pressure
🧣 What to Bring:
Warm layers, windproof outerwear, hat, gloves or mittens, insulated boots, water or a hot drink, and anything else you need to stay comfortable outdoors.
