In June 2024, Angel was preparing for her annual physical and found a lump in her left breast. She contacted her PCP and OB/GYN to assess the lump. In August 2024, after a mammogram and biopsy, a diagnosis of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma was given. Breast MRI and PET scan showed that it was Metastatic Breast Cancer that had spread to her bones. A treatment plan was set to stop the spread and K*ll the cancer cells. This plan started with CDK-4 and hormone therapy along with getting Zometa infusions to strengthen bones.
This treatment plan was working with 2 clear PET scans. But in June of 2025, a PET scan revealed some progression and additional tumors on her bones. In September of 2025, PET scan showed progression with additional bone and liver tumors. At this point, treatment was changed to targeted chemotherapy Enhertu.
