Mark the day before the shortest day and the longest night, with light as we begin our journey towards spring. WHEN: Saturday 20th December 2025
WALK START TIME: 6pm SHARP
LENGTH OF WALK: 7KM from the Belvoir Car Park to the Mass Rock, this walk will take you along forestry roads and up through woodland (mucky terrain).
A reasonable level of fitness is required. The elevation gain is 155m.
WHAT IS NEEDED: All walkers MUST have a torch, wear warm clothing and have suitable footwear (hiking boots are ideal)
Age Restriction: Not suitable for children under 8 years
Cost: €4 per person (pre-booking required)
Extras: Mulled wine, hot chocolate, and mince pies at the end
Restrictions: No dogs or buggies permitted
Gear: Warm clothing, sturdy boots, and a handheld or head torch required – it will be dark
