Matterhorn Beach Cleanup Jan 10

This will be the second of three cleanups this month on the Eglin beaches on the east end of Okaloosa Island.

Pick up your gear, then follow the sand path through the dunes to the beach or stay near 98 and clean besidethe multiusepath.

*Please do not park on the new paved bike/foot path!*

**IMPORTANT!**
This strip of beach is under the control of Eglin Air Force Base. It is open to the public with a FREE permit, available at https://eglin.isportsman.net/. You do not need a permit for the multiuse path, only if you go to the beach. Permits now require a background check that takes several days, so apply early! **You can be fined if you are caught on Eglin beaches without a permit!**

We will bring buckets, grabbers, and gloves for everyone to use. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring water! Remember, cleanups are canceled for rain, thunder, or lightning. See you out there!
