FMPL (Friends of the Muehl Public Library) have been meeting for weeks now planning a fabulous fundraiser for the library expansion!
When? Saturday November 8, 2025 from 1:00 until 5:00
Where? In the high school commons and auditorium at Seymour High School. (Thank you Seymour School District!)
Who? This is a family friendly event. No entry fee.
What? There will be a “Seymour style” Family Feud game and our celebrity host will be Ben Chan of Jeopardy fame! There will be a community workspace fair. Local talents will demonstrate their hobbies.
There will be food and a bake sale. There will be a bucket raffle for baskets. Patti Lipp will have her famous Seroogy’s raffle delightful creation.
Why? The game show is to highlight the fun that we have with knowledge at our library. The fair is to emphasize the kind of activities that we can have at our library with additional space.
Who again? We have businesses stepping up to sponsor the day. Thank you! We have many helpers promoting the event including the Advertiser. Thank you!
What again? There is a raffle in conjunction with this event that has already begun. You may purchase tickets at the library. The prizes are $2000, $750, $500, $250, $100, $100.

Yes! We are grateful for help from community members, patrons, and interested parties. Our Friends are a small and mighty group but we can certainly use everyone’s help! *We need help with donations of baskets for the basket raffle. (There is an example of a basket on the library counter.) *We need help selling the previously mentioned raffle tickets for monetary prizes. (You can pick up tickets at the library.) *We need help spreading the word about the fundraiser and making it a packed house! Save the date of November 8th!
