Join us for a relaxed afternoon outdoors at Knole Park, in partnership with Black Girls Hike, Wild With Wheels, and the Putting Down Routes team.
Knole Park is a 1,000-acre historic deer park, home to ancient woodland, stunning views, and roaming deer. It is one of Kent’s most iconic and beautiful green spaces, offering the perfect opportunity to slow down and enjoy nature together.
This event has been thoughtfully designed with accessibility and inclusion in mind. It is suitable for wheelchair users, people with mobility challenges, those who are new to outdoor activity, or anyone looking for a social way to spend time outside.
We welcome people of all backgrounds, genders, and abilities on this walk - please feel free to bring family and friends along too!
We will begin by gathering on the picnic area for a warm welcome from the Black Girls Hike and Wild With Wheels teams, followed by a short introduction to Knole Park from a National Trust Park Volunteer. From there, we will move together through the park along wide, hard-surfaced paths, travelling at a comfortable pace so everyone can enjoy the journey.
As we explore, there will be opportunities to take in the surroundings, spot wildlife, and enjoy the changing landscape. Gentle conversation prompts will be offered to help people connect with one another and invite moments of mindfulness in nature. There is also the option for anyone who feels tired to turn back halfway, accompanied by one of our friendly volunteers.
Thanks to the generous support of the National Trust at Knole, attendees are able to park onsite free of charge for this event. If you wish to visit the showrooms or Gatehouse Tower, normal admission applies and tickets can be obtained from the Visitor Centre.
