James Hunt is the founder of the Stories About Autism community, where hundreds of thousands of people follow his life as a father raising two autistic, non-speaking sons. James Hunt began sharing his life as a parent to two autistic sons through his blog Stories About Autism in 2015. What started as a personal outlet has grown into an award-winning community, now with over a million followers across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. He has recently expanded his platform to Substack, where he writes weekly newsletters for a rapidly growing community of subscribers. He hosts the Stories About Autism Podcast, where he interviews other parents, autistic adults and professionals, further deepening his connection within the autism world. In December 2023 he launched SAA Clothing, a brand that combines fashion with purpose. In just 18 months SAA has sold thousands of items of clothing around the world and opened a shop that serves as a hub for the local autism community, encouraging conversation and connection.

Some of the ticket options that don’t include the author’s book, or are specially priced for couples, are limited in number and can sell out quickly. Our aim is to try and bring the best and most interesting authors to our town. We are always trying to balance accessibility and affordability for our audiences, alongside requirements from publishers to sell enough books for events to be worthwhile enterprises for their authors.
