First Friday Art Walk with Clay Vermulm & Tamara Kaye Sellman

Join us as we welcome authors Clay Vermulm and Tamara Kaye Sellman and their newest collaboration, Rain Shadows: Dark Tales from Washington State! Pacific Northwest podcasters and dark contemporary fiction authors Tamara Kaye Sellman and Clay Vermulm collect twelve horror stories they wrote in 2024 based on podcast prompts set in Washington state, featuring various horror tropes and Pacific Northwest quirks. Contains content warnings, maps of state locations, and list prompts in this creative and experimental “pod to pub” project.
Inspired by the dark forests, high deserts, misty mountains, and tumultuous seas of Washington State, Rain Shadows delves into the horror that lives beyond the shadows and fog of the Pacific Northwest. This anthology of prompt-inspired stories explores the folklore, culture, mysticism, and horror that, like our authors, calls Washington home. From mythological and fantastical themes to psychological and supernatural horror—and even some true crime vibes—this collection holds something for horror fans of all stripes and subgenres. Just make sure to bring a waterproof jacket.
