Join us for an evening of conversation, curiosity, and community as we come together to protect the night! This casual, in-person gathering is your chance to meet the folks behind DarkSky Olympic Peninsula, learn what we’ve been working on, and explore how simple changes in our everyday lighting can make a big difference for people, wildlife, and our shared skies.
We’ll kick things off with a warm welcome and an introduction to our mission: preserving the beauty of the night while promoting safe, efficient, and wildlife-friendly lighting. We'll introduce you to the Five Principles for Responsible Outdoor Lighting, provide an overview of local lighting issues, and share updates on current projects and campaigns happening across the Olympic Peninsula.
Whether you’re a longtime advocate or just curious about what "dark sky friendly" really means, this is a welcoming space to ask questions, share ideas, and connect with others who care about keeping our nights naturally dark and full of stars.
Also check out other Meetups in Sequim.
