Selby Town Council are bringing back their popular Forest School this summer and bringing you the amazing chance to join one of two sessions.
We are running two sessions on Monday 30th March and Monday 3rd August at Bondgate Woodland. The session will provide a taster of the Forest Schools concept; children will be encouraged to get involved in inspiring outdoor activities to help improve their self-esteem and develop their appreciation of nature and the outdoors.
Children will be given the opportunity to have a go at activities they may not have met before and to build their resilience by overcoming new challenges, understanding risks and learning new practical skills. Children normally find the activities exciting and challenging, requiring perseverance and focus. Activities will include fire lighting, den building, nature-based craft and toasting marshmallows. These sessions are for children of school age.
