Up For Yorkshire are inviting professional and volunteer Community Connectors for networking, expert talks and sharing success stories.
Our next network event is about the holiday and food activity programme FEAST. North Yorkshire Council have coordinated the national fund for three years now, working with specialist activity providers to deliver 1000's of free places. FEAST is open to every child, with vouchers for free places available to children and young people who receive benefits-related free school meals.
The programme is being continued for the next three years and we have a chance to be part of planning the programme for 2026, such as how do we improve take-up in Selby, improve the offer available to teenagers and young people with SEND. We will be joined by Alice Skiath - HAF Coordinator FEAST North Yorkshire Council who wil talk about the Feast programme and the successes and challenges, and some holiday activity providers.
We will also be joined Karla Burton from North Yorkshire Sport who will talk about the York and North Yorkshire Mayor's Movement, Activity and Sport Investment Programme, a £2.75 million programme, dedicated to reducing these inequalities and improving wellbeing through increased participation in movement, activity and sport at all stages of life.
So, if you are interested in finding out who is offering what, for whom and where, or you would like to be involved join us to get clued-up and meet other Community Connectors.
Also check out other Sports events in Selby.
Tickets for February Community Connector Network can be booked here.
