Prine Time returns to Pareidolia Brewing Co. on October 12th.
John Prine was born on October 10, 1946 and passed from Covid on April 7, 2020. Born in Maywood, Illinois, his older brother taught him to play guitar when he was 14. He served in the army and spent the Viet Nam war in Germany working as a mechanic. When he came home, he began work as a mailman writing songs as he delivered the mail. His first album was released in 1971 and included songs that have become classics- Sam Stone, Angel from Montgomery, Paradise, Spanish Pipe Dream, Illegal Smile, Hello in There and others.
John Prine’s music has become popular globally. It is especially popular with musicians who attend Pareidolia’s open mic. This performance will feature musicians who regularly perform his songs. The music seems to have a universal appeal and speaks to hearts of many.
This show will feature Robert Johnson, the host of Pareidolia’s open mic, Diana Young, Bill Somers, Diane Surprise, Mike Troy, Penny Phillips and “Digger Doug”. Mojo Mike is producing it.
The show is on Sunday, October 12th and will start at 3pm. The artists are performing for their love of John Prine and tips. The show will be inside in the AC. Pareidolia Brewing Company is located at 712 Cleveland St. in Sebastian. Award winning beers and great food are available.
