About the event

Mexican Independence Day
On Saturday September 13, we will be celebrating Mexican Independence Day. Join us at Villa de Austin to learn about the traditions of celebrating Mexican Independence and get to see how it may have been celebrated at San Felipe de Austin. There will be hourly recitation of the Grito de Dolores and firing salutes from the San Felipe Militia.
