Chilli Studios presents: Community
An exhibition celebrating friendship, healing, and the power of creativity
Newcastle-based mental health and arts charity Chilli Studios is proud to present Community, an exhibition exploring themes of friendship, belonging, and healing through shared creative experience.
The title Community was chosen for its sense of joy, connection, and potential for well-being — something especially vital in what can often feel like an emotionally challenging time.
The exhibition brings together artwork by Chilli Studios members, many of whom live with mental health or social challenges. Through their creative practice, they discover support, expression, and a deep sense of belonging. Within the studio’s vibrant, inclusive environment, art becomes a bridge — a way to connect, to heal, and to celebrate the shared strength found in community.
Community showcases a wide range of artistic approaches, from painting and sculpture to mixed media and illustration, reflecting the diversity of voices within Chilli Studios. Together, these works offer a powerful statement about the value of creativity in nurturing connection, resilience, and joy.
