This is a one-day hands on course with horses covering: What your vet needs to know when you call, conditioning a horse to accept treatment, taking proper vital signs, dealing with lacerations, punctures, colic, choke, collapse, casting, shock, hoof issues, recognizing pain in the horse, sources of pain and alleviations, spinal health, injury prevention and much more.
You will receive a certificate of completion and a comprehensive first aid manual.
This is a prerequisite to taking the advanced course.
Class begins at 9am, please arrive around 8:45am. Class will end between 4:30pm-5:00pm.
Please bring your own chair, notebook, pencil/pen and a packed lunch. Please do not plan to leave for lunch, this is to prevent class from resuming late. Snacks and water will be provided.
This class is for ages 15 yrs. old and up.
The class fee is $169 per person.
I can accept payment via Venmo, cash app or if you are near me, I can meet up for a cash payment. Contact me directly to pay/register.
Once registered, I will reach out to you individually with specific details regarding the layout for the day a few days before the class.
Class size is limited to around 12 people to ensure everyone has plenty of time for hands-on participation.
