Walk and Draw

🌳Walk and Draw with Tony Wade

20-21 presents a workshop with artist Tony Wade, inviting participants to explore the natural world through sketching. The session begins with a short walk, observing and recording trees and plant life, then translating these impressions onto small A5 pieces of watercolour card. Back at 20-21, the sketches will be displayed together, creating a collective visual response to the surroundings.

🎨A range of mark-making materials will be provided, with a brief introduction to their use before the walk. The workshop will also include experimentation with natural materials derived from plants and trees, including walnut ink.

This workshop is inspired by the current Impressions Gallery exhibition Everything in the Forest is the Forest by Clare Hewitt.
