An Audience with Anthony McGowan

We are delighted to welcome Carnegie Medal winning author Anthony McGowan during National Storytelling Week (31 January to 8 February).

Anthony has been writing critically acclaimed fiction and non-fiction for adults, teenagers and children for more than 20 years, and his books include ‘Dogs of the Deadlands’, ‘Lark’ and ‘I am the minotaur’. His most recent title ‘The beck’ has been nominated for the 2026 CILIP Carnegie Medal.

Anthony is known for his ability to enthral and entertain groups of any size, and his events are filled with energy, jokes, surreal digressions and comic interactions with the audience.

All welcome. This event will last for approximately an hour and is suitable for children aged 7 and over.
