Join the Choral Society of Northeast Pennsylvania under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Joshua Harper for their Spring Pocket Concert - "The Poet Sings". Featuring music by almost entirely living composers set to texts by some of the world's most famous poets, this is certainly a concert not to be missed! Music by some of choral music's most exciting composers, including Eric Whitacre, Rosephanye Powell, Connor Koppin, Gwyneth Walker, and Morten Lauridsen, set to texts by famous poets such as Sara Teasdale, Robert Frost, Alfred, Lord Tennyson, and Walt Whitman.
Free and open to the public, this event is for the entire family. The concert is just under an hour and a perfect way to spend your Sunday afternoon. There will be a reception following the concert -- all are welcome. Donations will be accepted at the door, but not required.
Come be inspired by music, poetry, community, and art.
