Join us at auditions for Michael Hollinger’s comedy, Incorruptible.
It’s A.D. 1250 in Priseaux, France.
The Dark Ages are pretty dark, especially for the destitute monks of St. Foy, a saint who hasn’t performed any miracles in a long time.
Everyone hopes the Pope’s visit will restore things to their former glory—until a rival church claims to have the relics of St. Foy—and their bones ARE performing miracles.
The monks seem lost until they take some tips from a one-eyed wandering minstrel who teaches them how they can repay old debts.
Characters:
Charles—the abbot desperate to help his order
Brother Martin—his second in command and the mastermind
Brother Felix—a young, idealistic novice
Brother Olf—a dim-witted, clumsy novice
Jack—the cunning minstrel
Marie—dancing peasant woman and companion of Jack
Agatha—abbess of the rival church
Peasant Woman—a villager willing to get involved in the monks’ scam
