Paint & Sip Fundraiser with ALS Arizona

ALS Arizona presents its first Paint & Sip, a special fundraiser dedicated to the memory of longtime Ahwatukee community member Kevin John Casciani.

Kevin was diagnosed with ALS in 2004 and bravely fought for five years before passing in 2009. A Navy submariner and later a dedicated employee at the Chicago Tribune, Kevin lived a life rooted in service, hard work, and devotion to his family. He and his wife settled in Ahwatukee in 1986, where they built a home filled with love after years of infertility and loss, finally welcoming their miracle son through IUI.

Though ALS took Kevin too soon, his impact endures. He has missed the milestones every father dreams of—his son’s graduations, wedding, and the birth of his grandson, who proudly carries his name—but his family continues to honor him in all they do.
