Join us for our first Chalk it up! Sidewalk Chalk Art Event. Artists of all ages are invited to transform the sidewalks of Skypark into a colorful outdoor gallery. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply enjoy sketching, this event welcomes everyone!

After your finished creating your sidewalk chalk art masterpiece, stick around for Music in the Park — enjoy live music, food vendors, and family activities as we celebrate art and community spirit.
Event Details:
Date: Sunday, August 24th, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Skypark (sidewalks along the field)
Registration Categories: (Includes sidewalk space, spray bottle, and chalk)
Youth (8–12 years): $25 (2.5’ x 5’ sidewalk space)
Teen & Adult: $45 (5’ x 5’ sidewalk space)
Group (up to 4 people): $75 (10’ x 5’ sidewalk space)
Awards for above categories, judged by members of the Scotts Valley Art Commission.
How to Participate:
Pre-registration is required — Deadline: August 1st, 2025
Check-in at the event booth before starting your artwork.
All artwork must be family-friendly and created with provided water-based chalk (no paints, pastels, or permanent materials).
Artists have 3 hours to complete their work, with winners announced during Music in the Park.
