Scotch Plains-Fanwood UNICO, in collaboration with St. Bartholomew's Church and St. Bartholomew Academy, is thrilled to announce the return of the annual Italian Festival. This vibrant celebration of community, culture, and culinary delights is set to take place from August 29th to September 1st, 2025, at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, located at 2032 Westfield Avenue in Scotch Plains. Family, friends, food, and fun - the feast brings it all!
The festival has been a beloved tradition since 1974, honoring San Nicola di Bari, patron saint of the town of Montazzoli, Italy. Over the Labor Day weekend, residents from all over come together to revel in the festivities, creating cherished memories that span generations.
Guests at the feast can expect a wide range of Italian cuisine, terrific live entertainment, and numerous amusement park rides and family-friendly games. Beyond the excitement and entertainment, the festival will continue to raise funds for various local scholarships and community events organized by SP-F UNICO and St. Bart's. One of the festival's most anticipated fundraisers is the renowned Super 50/50 raffle, which amassed over $76,000 last year. The raffle winners will be announced during the festival's grand finale on Monday, September 1st, at 8:00 PM.
The four-day extravaganza would not be possible without the dedication of many volunteers and sponsors. From managing ticket sales to overseeing game booths and everything in between, the festival relies on the generosity of community members. Anyone interested in volunteering or sponsorships is can visit the festival's official website at www.sbuitalianfestival.com.
