This is the initial announcement of our October Bolt Action Tournament. Please make sure to mark going/interested as we will be updating with more information as we get closer.
This will be a 1,250 pt, 3 round event.
Doors open for check-in at 0800 with registration going until 0845, first game begins promptly at 0900. Event is wrapped up by 1830-1900.
List format:
Your force must follow the rules of the standard Force Structure as outlined on page 182 with the following exception:
- Your first mandatory platoon can be EITHER the standard Rifle Platoon OR the Recce Infantry Platoon as long as all mandatory selections within those platoons are met.
All lists must come from either the 3rd Edition rule book, the new Armies of ..., or the PDF's listed on Warlords official site IF your the new Armies of... has not been released for your force yet.
There will be a 16 order dice "in the bag" cap using the Order Dice Limit from the optional rules on page 308. What this means is that you may bring a list with more order dice. However there are only 16 in the bag at a time. You will only be activating 16 units a turn, and it is up to you to determine what is activated each turn. Units killed will not affect dice in the bag until you are down to 16 units left and begin to lose units. Please read the rules on pg 308, but here is a brief summary:
• ODL rules only apply for as long as you have more than the specified number of units in play.
• Reserves/outflanking units are in play
• When a unit that has not been ordered yet that turn is destroyed, do not take an order die out of the bag. If a unit that has already been ordered that turn is destroyed, keep its die aside until the end of the turn and then put it back into the bag at the beginning of the next turn.
- This means that you cannot use dice to the side to keep track of lost units, so ensure you are keeping track of how many units have been destroyed for the purposes of scoring.
• If a unit is shot at and wishes to go Down, but you have run out of Order dice, the unit can still go Down as normal. However, it will not have the option of losing a pin marker(s) and retaining their Down order at the end of the turn.
• If a recce vehicle wishes to execute an escape move, but you have run out of order dice, the vehicle cannot make its escape move.
• If a unit that has not been ordered yet that turn wishes to fire at chargers, but you have run out of order dice, the unit cannot fire.
Each round will be 2.5 hours with the proposed schedule of:

0845-0900 Tournament Brief
0900-1130 Round 1
1130-1230 Lunch (pizza will be provided as it has in the past)
1230-1500 Round 2
1500-1530 Break
1530-1800 Round 3
1800-1830 Cleanup and scoring
1830-1900 Prizing
We will have a cap at 24 players. Any who register after will be put on a waiting list.

Registration deadline is 26 September. Late registration or day of walk ins will be $25.
PLEASE register early so I can ensure tables are ready and prize support is adequate.
Player packs will be sent out once registration is received detailing events and exact timetable. Scenarios will be sent out 29 September detailing the rounds.
Lists will be due by 3 October and submitted via a PDF using EasyArmy. Please ensure that you are bouncing your list off of the army book/PDF as well as EasyArmy is known to make some small mistakes.
