This first community conversation will set the tone for the rest of the year. Join us as we come together to share ideas, identify priorities, and help shape the monthly series that will follow. Your voice will guide the topics, focus, and approach of future Plug In, Speak Up Schenectady gatherings.
At this first conversation, attendees will be invited to share:
-Topics you want future conversations to focus on
-Information or resources the community needs
-Neighborhoods that should be prioritized
-Venues that feel comfortable and accessible
-How these conversations can best serve you and your neighbors
This is a family-friendly space—children are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
Who Should Attend
Plug In, Speak Up Schenectady is for everyone who lives, works, learns, worships, or spends time in Schenectady. Longtime residents, newcomers, young people, elders, parents, renters, homeowners, business owners, students, workers, organizers, faith leaders, and community members who don’t usually attend meetings are all welcome.
You do not need to be an expert, a speaker, or involved in politics to participate. Your experiences, questions, and perspective matter.
This is the first of many monthly conversations. Each month, we’ll provide updates on Schenectady’s programs, services, and resources while giving residents a space to share, reflect, and act. Join us as we plug in, speak up, and build together—helping create the solutions Schenectady needs and making sure every voice is heard.
