Invasive Species Removal Day in Central Park, Schenectady NY

ReTree Schenectady is leading a pilot project to remove burning bush from the forest behind the greenhouse in Central Park, Schenectady NY. Burning bush is a non-native invasive shrub that forms dense thickets, displacing native woody and herbaceous plants. We will be removing burning bush to support the ecology of the native understory and forest. Please come and help us restore this patch of the Central Park forest!
