What to Expect at a Hindu Vivah In-Person Singles Event
If this is your first time joining us — welcome! 🌸Here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you understand how the event works and what you can expect.
1. Register in Advance
Before the event, you’ll need to register (bit.ly/HVCHICAGO225). This helps us prepare for the right number of guests. The event is free to attend for HinduVivah members. Annual Membership costs 15 dollars. (Zelle to

2. Arrive at the Venue
When you arrive, our volunteers will welcome you and guide you through the check-in process.
3. Identity & Age Verification
To keep our community safe and authentic:
You’ll need to bring a government-issued photo ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license).
We check your name and date of birth on the spot — no copies are kept.
Even if you’ve attended before, ID is checked at every in-person event.
4. Grouping by Age
We’ll divide everyone into age-appropriate groups to help you meet singles with similar life stages and goals.
5. Speed Dating Rounds
Here’s where the fun begins!
You’ll meet singles of the opposite gender in your age group.
Each conversation lasts about 3–4 minutes before moving to the next person.
It’s quick, easy, and a great way to make many introductions in a short time.
6. Snacks & Open Mingling
After the speed dating rounds, we break for snacks provided by our team or the Mandir.During this time, you can mix with everyone at the event, not just your age group.
7. Fun Icebreaker Game (if time permits)
We often play a lighthearted group game to help people relax, laugh, and connect more naturally.
8. Choosing Your Matches
Later that day, you’ll receive a link via text message to submit feedback through our SpeedMatch app:
Select the people you’d like to get to know better.
We collect everyone’s choices and look for mutual matches.
The next day, we’ll email you the names and email addresses of your mutual matches.
9. Take It From There
After you receive your matches, it’s up to you! You can reach out, have conversations, and see where things go — possibly toward matrimony — all without further involvement from Hindu Vivah.
10. Optional After-Event Hangouts
Sometimes, participants plan an after-party or group dinner nearby. It’s not official, but it’s another great chance to keep the conversations going.
💡 Tip for First-Timers: Come with an open mind, be yourself, and enjoy the opportunity to meet others in a safe, respectful, and culturally familiar environment.
