Titled Wh*res and Memory, this workshop aims to open a space for reflecting on collective whore memory. Our stories have long been told by others—or left untold entirely. In official histories and institutional archives, we are often misrepresented, erased, or simply absent. Even within LGBTQI+ activist archives, our traces are often rare, scattered, or missing altogether. This experimental lab invites participants to bring personal objects, documents, or/and anecdotes.
Through playful archiving, we’ll imagine what a truly wh*re archive—or counter-archive, or memory repository—might look like.
This exercise is about crafting a wh*re archivistics — er*tic, tender, resilient, rooted in us and for us. We’re reclaiming our stories, breaking imposed frameworks, and building memory on our own damn terms. We’re grounding this whole process in care, trust, and consent. Anonymity — or whatever tools we need to protect each other — will always be respected. This is a space built on community, where we decide together what we want to share, what stays with us, and how far we wanna go :)
