Sub weekend 2
Because the weather can be unkind and has scuppered the last 2 years attempts, this time I'm being cunning and planning 2 weekends! So this is the 2nd weekend of my annual attempt to dive and survey the 2 German U-boats (UB41 and UB75) sunk off scarborough 1917 and rediscovered by the great Carl Racey, Andy Jackson and their team in 2002...since then, as far as I can tell, the only dives on them have been in 2006, with a further Heritage England commissioned geophysical survey carried out in 2014 (no diving)...so I think it would be a great project to go and dive these sites and document what condition they are in now in the nearly 20years since they were last seen, including some parts never dived and only found via geophysical survey.
The dives will be on HW slack so planned dives will be ~65m with max run times around 2hours.
Dives from the club hard boat Condor and open to all suitably qualified and dived up club members.
