Some clothes are more than just fabric. They can tell stories of special times, places or people; our tiny baby, growing children, holidays, university days, lost loved ones. Don’t abandon those special clothes to a box! Transform them into a beautiful Memory Quilt.
We can use the same techniques to create a beautiful tactile lap quilt for a person living with dementia. We can incorporate photos bonded onto fabric, fiddle patches such as zips and velcro, tactile fabrics to stroke and feel, and fabrics that they might recognise from old clothing.
A further option would be to create a beautiful quilt from new fabrics.
