Sourdough bread has become everyone’s favorite obsession—this class will teach you to master the chewy, crispy, delicious, and even good for your bread!
This 3-part hands-on seminar is designed to teach every step of the process. We will focus on :
Making and maintaining a starter
Hydration, folding, and shaping
Baking techniques & fun add-ins
Creative ways to use your discard
Class Breakdown:
Nov 9: What is sourdough? History, science, and making/maintaining a starter, Starter creation and a bread bake with already active starter. Tasks during the week: Feed starter regularly
Nov 16: Mixing dough, stretch/fold, shaping, hydration, & the truth about autolyse. Bake: Sourdough focaccia. Bring your starter in for a checkup!
Nov 23: Baking, add-ins, and discard magic. Baking with your starter!

Take home recipes
Additional jarred starter for future loafs!
Bread baked in class
