Rules and Regulations
Certification: This is a USBC certified event, all USBC rules shall apply, and all entrants must be current adult USBC members.
Averages: All averages will be verified prior to the start of the tournament. Bowlers will use the highest 2024-25 average of 21 games or more using bowl.com. If no 24-25 season average, bowler must provide proof of 24-25 average. If no 2024-25 season USBC average, use the most recent USBC certified average of 18 games or more. If the bowler has no average, the bowler will be assigned 230 average. If a bowler only has a Sport average, the average shall be adjusted using the USBC Sport Conversion Chart. If a bowler has a standard average and a Sport average, that standard average shall be used. The tournament director reserves the right to rerate any bowler for any reason.
Handicap: Team shall consist of four bowlers, any combination of men or women. Team Handicap shall be calculated as 90% of 880.
Format: All bowlers will bowl 4 games moving pairs after each game. Top 4 teams will qualify for the baker bracket finals. Handicap will be 90% of 220 for the team's cumulative average. If there is a tie for the bracket finals position, the tie breaker will be the high scratch series. In case of a tie for any other cashing position, the prize money will be split between teams. Round 1 will be 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. Each round will consist of 2 baker games switching lanes after each game with total pinfall determining the winner. Higher seeds will determine their starting lane at the start of each match. If there is a tie after the 2 games, there will be a 1 frame roll off until the tie is broken. Each team will pick the first bowler, and we will rotate through the bowlers as needed. If the championship match ends in a tie there will be a 4 frame roll off with each member of the team participating. If there is still a tie after the 4 frames, we will continue with 1 frame roll off until the tie is broken.
Blind Doubles: $5 of prize fund will be used towards Blind Doubles side pot. Payouts will be for each game. Top 3 teams getting paid out will breakdown as follows 1st - 60%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd - 10%
Payouts: Payout Ratio is 1:4
Entry Fee and Breakdown: Entry fee will be $60 per bowler/$240 per team. Per bowler breakdown: $16 Linage, $38 Prize Fund, $6 Admin Fee.
Side Pots: There will be optional $5 Handicap & Scratch Mini Brackets (2 game brackets with 4 bowlers per bracket), $5 Handicap & Scratch High game (1:5), and 4 Game Handicap & Scratch Singles (1:5) available.
Tournament Authority: The Tournament Host will have final say in all disputes, rules not covered here, or rules not covered by the USBC.
