Irena's Vow (2024) is a poignant war drama based on the TRUE story of Irena Gut Opdyke, a young Polish nurse who risked her life to save twelve Jews during the Holocaust. When Nazi officer Eduard Rügemer (Dougray Scott) selects Irena as his housekeeper, she seizes the opportunity to shelter the Jews in the basement of his villa. Over the course of two years, Irena navigates the constant threat of discovery, demonstrating immense courage and moral fortitude.
Sophie Nélisse delivers a compelling performance as Irena, portraying her transformation from an innocent girl to a resolute woman of strength.
