FREE Sunset Concert at the Dutch Barn at the Kiersted House

Friday, September 5 will be the perfect night to hear two great performers for Free at the Dutch Barn at the Kiersted House as we present the last Sunset Concert of the season. Don Sparks (who is also one of the performers) has done a superb job putting together these concerts this summer which are brought to you by the Saugerties Chamber of Commerce, Town and Country Liquors and Saugerties Tourism. Steve Massardo has also been a key in the concerts' success by providing the sound and staging.

For the last concert we feature two talented performers, Don Sparks and Dorraine Scofield. After playing in various rock bands in his teens, Don apprenticed for three years as an actor with the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, where he got his Equity card when he was twenty. He's had a long association with that Tony Award-winning theater and in 1994 was made an Associate Artist by then-Artistic Director, Jack O'Brien. In 2018 he created the role of "JD" in the Broadway musical, "Escape To Margaritaville," also doing the pre-Broadway tour and singing on the original cast album. A well-known local musician, his guitar playing, music selection and wonderful voice have entertained audiences in the Hudson Valley and beyond.

Lorraine has been a fixture in the area, playing her special mix of Country, Rock, and Americana music to adoring audiences. She plays multiple instruments and her voice is amazing.
