❄️🎶 **Winterlude – Saskatoon Philharmonic Orchestra** 🎶❄️
Warm up your winter evening with live orchestral music as the Saskatoon Philharmonic Orchestra presents Winterlude on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The concert takes place at the St. Joseph High School Theatre (115 Nelson Road). Doors open at 6:15 p.m. with rush seating available. This is a mask-friendly event.
*Winterlude* features a welcoming and varied program that brings together familiar classical favourites and engaging modern works. Highlights include excerpts from Elgar’s **Enigma Variations**, Bizet’s **Carmen Suite No. 1**, and selections from **Evita** by Rice and Webber, along with music by David Kaplan and Kelsey Jones. 🎼✨
The evening also showcases **Violin Concerto No. 9** by Charles de Bériot, performed by Saskatoon-born violinist Michael Swan. A longtime concertmaster of the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, Swan is well known to local audiences and returns to the Saskatoon Philharmonic for his second performance of a de Bériot concerto. 🎻
