The Mindfox are a WFTDA sanctioned roller derby team based out of Saskatoon Sk.
This team is open to skaters from any location.
You must be 18+ and fall within the WFTDA gender guidelines to be eligible for the rostering charter.
Tryouts will be held on January 31st at the Cosmo Civic Centre gym, from 130pm-430pm.
All tryout participants must bring both a white and black with their number, arm bands or sharpie, water and a small snack.
A maximum of 20 skaters will be selected for the active charter.
Developmental skaters who will not be placed on the charter will also potentially be selected to practice and grow with the team.
Mindfox skaters are expected to have regular practice attendance in order to ensure the teams growth and cohesion. Out of town team members will have a lesser attendance expectation. Mindfox game rostering is subject to many things and any skater can be denied on a game by game basis for any reason team management agrees upon including low attendance and poor attitude.
Mindfox skaters are expected to be supportive of their teammates and respectful of opponents, team management and the officials.
A $5 cash tryout fee will be collected from each skater at 130pm before beginning. The tryout will have two portions. Portion 1 will be skills, after which any skaters deemed unsafe to continue on will be notified. Portion 2 will be game scenario and scrimmage.
Prior to the tryout all applicants will receive an email with any further needed info as well as a self evaluation form of all the skills to be observed at the tryout to be filled out.
