Beginner Spindle Workshop

Welcome to the workshop - Beginner Spindle Workshop as part of the Silver Willow Fibre Festival

During this workshop you will learn how to spin yarn on a drop spindle. This is an exciting workshop for everyone who has ever wanted to see what spinning is all about. Drop spindle spinning is also one of our Spin-a-Skein competitions 2026.

Terra Dionne will be teaching this workshop. Terra is a local Master Spinner farmer and is working on becoming a Master Weaver. She raises alpacas angora goats and Gotland sheep. She shears all her animals and is a certified fleece grader. She has many many fibre art loves and has a wealth of knowledge to share. 

The workshop is part of the Silver Willow Fibre Festival. The festival is taking place Oct 4 2025 at the Lakeview Church in Saskatoon 19 Glazier road. The doors to the festival will open at 10am. Your workshop time is 12-3pm. This hopefully leaves you enough time to shop after the workshop and have lunch with us beforehand.

All materials included you do not have to bring anything.
