50 Years of Spam, Coconuts & Killer Rabbits!
A Monty Python Double Feature Weekend
And now for something completely celebratory…
Dust off your coconuts and polish your armor (tin foil will do nicely), because the world’s most absurd knights are galloping back onto the big screen for the 50th Anniversary of MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL! That’s right—five decades of flesh wounds, killer rabbits, rude Frenchmen, and the quest that never quite works out.
But don’t run away screaming just yet! The very next day, the Pythons return with Life of Brian—a tale of mistaken identity, religious satire, and the greatest whistling finale in movie history.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail – 50th Anniversary Screening
Saturday, November 22nd
3:30 PM
King Arthur and his band of not-so-merry knights set forth on an epic (and frequently interrupted) quest for the Holy Grail. Along the way, they encounter taunting French soldiers who weaponize livestock, a Black Knight who simply refuses to admit defeat, a ferocious rabbit with nasty pointy teeth, the shrubbery-demanding Knights Who Say “Ni!”, and of course, one of the most abrupt endings in cinema history.
Equal parts medieval spoof and anarchic sketch comedy, Holy Grail is a film where logic is optional, coconuts are essential, and laughter is guaranteed.
Monty Python’s Life of Brian
Sunday, November 23rd
3:30 PM
Born in the stable next to Jesus, Brian spends his life being mistaken for the Messiah—a role he never applied for and certainly doesn’t want. His misadventures take him from a hopelessly bureaucratic resistance movement to the chaos of leading reluctant followers, each searching for miracles, signs, or shoe-related inspiration. With every misunderstanding, Brian is dragged further into unwanted prophecy and inevitable trouble.
The chaos finally lands him in the hands of the Romans, where his fate leads to one of the funniest crucifixions in cinematic history—complete with a whistled tune that reminds us all to look on the bright side of life. Hilarious, controversial, and sharply satirical, MONTY PYTHON’S LIFE OF BRIAN is the Pythons at their most fearless and irreverent.
