This is a Contact Improv Jam with Live Music performed by Izzy Fontein and Danielle Meisler (bios below). We will Jam til 9:30 pm.
Opening circle is just after 6:30 with our half hour warm-up class led by Jen Hong immediately following.

Danielle shares with you the product of her evolving explorations — of the ways in which combinations of rhythms, melodies, voices and instruments, when heard in a certain order and engaged with through uncensored movement of the body, can give us access to profound self-discovery. Danielle is a DJ who plays sets of music blending tribal, funky, soulful, stirring and uplifting sounds, with the intention of letting you move into the depths and into the light, and find more space for all that exists inside of you. Danielle is also a singer and songwriter, and lover of vocal improvisation, harmony, and collaboration.
Raised in Vermont, currently based in Los Angeles, Izzy finds deep joy in creating movement and sound with others. Through expression she finds herself in the spaciousness of the curious unknown, mystery, play, innocence, surprise, new pathways. A vocalist who is known to pick up a saxophone, she enjoys creating music with contrast, layers, interesting new sounds, and a reason for people to take their shoes off and wiggle.
