World-renowned soprano Renée Fleming is a leading advocate for studying the connections between music and neuroscience. In this fascinating discussion, Fleming is joined by arts educator and magician Kevin Spencer, a leader in his field, to explore the profound impact of the arts on the human mind.

Fleming’s 2024 anthology, Music and Mind: Harnessing the Arts for Health and Wellness, curates a collection of essays from leading scientists, artists, creative arts therapists, educators, and healthcare providers about the powerful impacts of music and the arts on health and the human experience. Fleming is an advisor for major initiatives in this field, including the Sound Health Network at the University of California San Francisco and the NeuroArts Blueprint at Johns Hopkins University.
