Making Waves for Water Safety in Orange County
Join us on Sunday, October 26, 2025, for the third annual Hop, Skip & Splash 5K — a fun, family-friendly beachside fundraiser benefiting swim lessons and water safety education for children throughout Orange County. Whether you run, walk, or skip across the finish line, your participation helps save lives by supporting families who lack access to these life-saving resources!
Event Details
Location: Parking lot next to Huntington Beach City Junior Lifeguard Headquarters(Enter at PCH & 1st Street. Event on your left, parking on your right. $15 per car)
Can’t Join Us in Person?
No problem! Sign up for the Virtual 5K and complete your run or walk anytime during the weekend of October 26–27.
Wear your event shirt, share your photos, and tag us to spread awareness from wherever you are. Your registration still supports swim lessons and water safety programs in Orange County.
Timeline:
7:30 AM – Check-In Begins
Pick up your event t-shirt (included in registration)
Same day registration begins
8:30 AM – Run/Walk Begins
Enjoy a flat course along the Huntington Beach shoreline
Stroller and kid-friendly
Not a timed race-just a fun and meaningful way to support water safety!
Post-Race - Pancake breakfast, music, vendor village, and opportunity drawings
Post-Race Fun Includes:
Race Day T-Shirt
Free pancake breakfast served by Huntington Beach Firefighters
Live music from local lifeguard band, Crew-52
“Under the Sea” Vendor Village with family activities, safety education, and giveaways
Opportunity drawings with fun prizes
Ways to Save:
Team Discount: Teams of 2 or more receive $10 off each registration
Fundraise for Free: Raise $300 and we’ll reimburse $50 from your registration fee

Join the Fun as a Team:
Start a Team – The first person to sign up picks “Create a Team” during registration and chooses a team name. The first person will pay full price and then be reimbursed $10 once your first teammate joins!
Join a Team – Everyone else selects “Join a Team” during registration and picks that same team name
What to Bring:
Sunscreen, running shoes, and water bottles
Cash/card for vendor village and drawings
Ocean or Water themed costumes or team spirit outfits encouraged!
Refund Policy:
All registrations are non-refundable. Proceeds directly support water safety education and swim lesson scholarships for local children.
