Are You ready for the continuation of deepening Your connection with the stories and songs right from the Amazon Forest?
After our great gathering that happened earlier this year in March, we are ready once again to lift the energy high up Together, in Nessoden.
Welcome back to this cross culture meeting, this time with members of the Noke Koi tribe including 95 years of age great leader Paje Kochti Kamanawa, his son Aro Kamanawa and grandson Peu Kochti.
What is in store for Us?
We will have a chance to hear tales & stories passed down by generations in the Noke Koi tradition.
Music, songs and sacred rituals: we will have a chance to experience the healing power of Rapé medicine, native chants and prayers.
Ask, connect and learn: You will be given the opportunity to interact with our guests during the lecture time, ask them some questions and receive words of wisdom and insights.
Meet our amazing guests:
Kochti Kamãnawa, a 95-year-old elder, is the last great traditional shaman — or Romeya — of a sacred lineage of the Noke Koî Indigenous people, ancestral guardians of the Amazon rainforest in the state of Acre, Brazil. Romeya who carries ancestral songs and healing prayers that echo with the spirit of the forest. Kochti is not just a master — he is a living prayer, a treasure of humanity, a living memory of those who walk between worlds, a grandfather full of wisdom, and one of the last healers of the nearly century old generations who still live in the forest. Many, when they fall ill, turn to the grandfather’s prayers. Even the renowned great shaman Tata Yawanawa has received his healing prayers.
Aro, Kochti’s son, supports his father in the daily life of the village and accompanies him during traditional rituals, learning everything that can be passed on to the next generation. He is a hunter, fisherman and farmer. In the past year, Aro entered Samakei, a process of spiritual preparation, to learn healing chants and prayers.
Peu Kochti, a 25-year-old father and husband, is closely guided by his grandfather in preserving his cultural heritage. He assists his grandfather in his daily life and is a passionate learner and performer of his people's sacred songs. With natural talent and deep sensitivity, Peu Kochti has embarked on the path of transforming traditional songs into musical expressions that engage with new generations, without losing their spiritual essence.
In 2023, he participated in a traditional diet with his grandfather, with the goal of delving deeper into the spiritual world and strengthening his connection with ancestral knowledge.
