1. EVENT OVERVIEW
Wanderers Chess Club is proud to host the Wanderers Rapid 2025, our final rated event of the year.
This event will feature one open section, open to players of all ages and skill levels.
This tournament will be Chess SA Rapid Rated.

● Rapid Time Control: 15 minutes + 5 seconds increment

● Latest FIDE Rapid Laws of Chess apply
5. ENTRY FEES

● Wanderers Chess Club Members: FREE

becomes R0
● Maximum capacity: 50 players (first-come-first-served)
6. PAYMENT & REGISTRATION
All entries must be purchased through the My Club Account (MCA) platform.

No EFT or cash payments will be accepted.

Friday, 28 November 2025 at 18:00
Late entries will not be accepted.
7. PRIZE FUND (R2,200 Guaranteed)
● 1st Place: R1,000
● 2nd Place: R800
● 3rd Place: R400
Players must attend the prize-giving ceremony to receive prizes.
No player may win more than one prize.

Applied in the following order:
1. Direct Encounter
2. Buchholz Cut 1
3. Sonneborn-Berger
4. Buchholz Total
5. Average Rating of Opponents
9. MEDIA & FAIR PLAY
● By entering, players consent to photos & videos being used for promotional purposes.
● All players must comply with Chess SA fair play policies.
● Cell phones and smart devices must be switched off and stored away in bags.

13. RULES & REGULATIONS
● Only players with confirmed MCA ticket purchases will be paired.
● Players may be moved to ensure fair competition.
● No refunds for no-shows or withdrawals.
● Right of admission reserved.
● Default time is 10 minutes.
● All decisions by the Chief Arbiter are final.
