10 AM: The SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) Survival Kit: Create Your Own Herbal Teas & Scrubs
From SAD to Glow- Nature’s Remedy for Winter Blues
Combat the Winter Blues with Nature’s Pharmacy. Feeling drained, low, or out of sync when the seasons change? You’re not alone. In this class we’ll demystify Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) directly. You’ll leave understanding exactly what it is—a biochemical response to reduced sunlight that disrupts your sleep cycle and mood—and, most importantly, why it happens.
Go beyond a basic understanding and discover a practical toolkit of natural solutions. We will dive deep into the integrative therapies that really work. You’ll learn how to use light therapy to reset your internal clock, which supplements can make a real difference, and get a clear, honest guide to supportive herbs like St. John’s Wort and Rhodiola.
And the best part? You’ll put this knowledge into practice by crafting your own uplifting herbal tea blend and soothing salt scrub to take home! All materials will be provided.
Don’t just survive the season—thrive through it with knowledge and self-care.

12:30 PM: Find Your Voice and Raise it Up in Song!
Traditionally in this darkest time of the year, people have raised their voices together in song for community, healing and celebration. Many people however, feel reluctant to participate in group singing. Some people feel that they “can’t” sing. Others haven’t had enough experience singing to feel comfortable vocalizing with others.
This workshop is for people who are looking for a fun supported environment in which to explore their singing voice. It’s for people who want to develop greater confidence as a singer and for those who wish to experience the pleasure of singing with others. Together we’ll warm up with movement, breathing, relaxation and simple vocal exercises. We’ll then explore vocal toning. Finally, we’ll learn some simple songs and rounds and experience the fun of a song circle.
About the presenter:
Jenny Christofferson is a music teacher, Waldorf educator, jazz pianist. She believes that singing is our birthright and is passionate about helping people learn how to make music together.
