Fall Seed Saving Workshop
🌱 Save your own seeds and strengthen our local food resilience!
Explore the ancient art of seed saving in this hands-on workshop with Diane Green from Greentree Naturals. Learn to complete the cycle of growing your own food by letting plants produce seed for next year’s crops. This passes on important traits specific to our region and improves local food resilience.
What you’ll learn:
When seeds are mature and ready to harvest
Basics of cross-pollination and plant vigor
Seed cleaning techniques: winnowing, screening, sorting, and storage
Overwintering biennial crops like carrots, beets, and onions
Take home seeds we harvest together!
