AiR Open Studio with Eriko Fujita

We’re excited to invite you to the Open Studio of Eriko Fujita, a Japanese artist currently in residence. Explore her work and experience the traditional Japanese woodblock printing technique Mokuhanga—a beautiful and time-honored art form.

She will demonstrate print making in the technique Mokuhanga on June 11th, at both times. Mokuhanga is a very famous traditional Japanese wood block technique.

Open Studio dates:
June 11: 12pm-1pm (Mokuhanga demo at 12pm)
Opening at 5pm-7pm (Mokuhanga demo at 6pm)
June 12 : 11pm-4pm
June 13,14 and 16 : 11pm-6pm

During her residency, Eriko Fujita has developed a deep connection to the southwestern region of Norway and has explored the poetry of Haugtussa by Arne Garborg, which has inspired her recent work.
