Happy New Year, Friends!
We're pulling together an info session for folks that have expressed interest in FreeSkool and especially for those that might be interested in TEACHING a class.
This event will give folks the opportunity to learn what resources are available at HomeGrown HideAways to use for teaching a class and hopefully inspire ideas for the upcoming year.
For the new folx, classes will generally be held on the second and last Sunday of each month and should focus on survival-based skill-sharing. This can include topics such as gardening, food preservation, first-aid, auto mechanics, home repairs and maintenance, foraging, small game processing, sewing, construction, etc.
Classes will mostly be geared towards teens and adults, but there may be additional opportunities for children's activities.
Attendees will be getting a tour of our facilities, including the kitchens and indoor classroom, plus the outdoor areas like the Pavilion, gardens, orchard, and hiking trails so bring your ideas and your hiking shoes and let's see what we can create together!
