Cal Poly Alumni — Latinx Community ¡Viva Los Mustangs! Reception

The Cal Poly Alumni — Latinx Community is coming together Saturday, Oct. 11, starting at 5 p.m. to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a special reception at the Cal Poly Alumni House (Building 28 on the corner of Campus and Crandall Way).

Mix and mingle with fellow alumni during this casual reception. Guests can enjoy refreshments and burrito appetizers and stock up on swag before the Cal Poly men’s soccer match.

After the reception, head over to Spanos Stadium to cheer on the Mustangs as they face UC San Diego. The ¡Viva Los Mustangs! award ceremony will also take place during halftime. Presented by the Cal Poly Chicanx Latinx Faculty/Staff Association, the awards recognize a student, staff member, faculty member and alum for their significant contributions to the Chicanx/Latinx communities at Cal Poly.

• 5-6:40 p.m., Pre-Match ¡Viva Los Mustangs! Alumni Reception: Guests interested in attending the pre-match reception at the Cal Poly Alumni House can purchase tickets here on Eventbrite. Tickets are $10 and include beer, wine and seltzer (for guests ages 21+, photo ID required), burrito appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages. Space is limited so don't wait! Reception ticket sales end on Saturday, Oct. 11, or when sold out. This event is open to Cal Poly alumni and supporters.

• 7-9 p.m., Cal Poly vs. UC San Diego Soccer Game: A limited number of complimentary tickets to the soccer game are available for registered attendees of the pre-match reception. You may request complimentary tickets while supplies last when you complete your order form for the pre-game reception. Attendees can also purchase tickets directly from the. We are encouraging folks to select tickets in section 109L. Claim or purchase your game tickets as soon as possible. This event is open to alumni and the Cal Poly community.
